American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine

About This Association

One of the primary goals of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine is to be an educational organization. Every year the Academy sponsors an Annual Meeting which attracts sports medicine speakers and participants from across the country. Along with the Annual Meeting, the Academy sponsors or assists with a number of other sports medicine State or Regional seminars relating to diving, skiing, and specialized activities. The Academy also sponsors a Fellow-In-Training Program for graduate podiatric physicians who have an interest in podiatric sports medicine and would like to gain invaluable hands-on practice experience. The Academy also recognizes the role podiatric medical students play in the future of sports medicine. AAPSM Sports Medicine Days at the podiatric medical colleges have met with great success and appreciation by the students and faculty. At such programs students learn practical sports medicine information and are introduced to the AAPSM.
